Free scrcpy command builder

In short: The scrcpy command builder writes scrcpy commands for you. Choose the phone, the video size, bit rate and frame rate, sound, keyboard and mouse, the window and a recording, or open one window for every connected phone, in bash or PowerShell. It follows scrcpy 4.1's documented options, and nothing leaves your browser.

scrcpy --max-size=1024
  • With no phone chosen, scrcpy needs exactly one phone connected; adb devices lists them.
  • Sound needs Android 11 or newer; on Android 11, unlock the phone before starting scrcpy.

Options as documented for scrcpy 4.1; newer versions may add options, and scrcpy --help lists the ones your copy has.

One window per phone works well for a few phones and gets crowded after that. BenchFleet is built on scrcpy's open-source server and puts every connected phone on one screen, with one-click control. See mirroring and controlling 10 phones from a laptop and a scrcpy GUI for many phones.

How the builder writes commands

  • Options as the docs write them. Each option is written as --max-size=1024, the form scrcpy's documentation uses; --tcpip only takes its address that way.
  • Quoting for two shells. A window title or file name with spaces or other special characters goes in single quotes, which bash and PowerShell both read literally, so '--window-title=Phone 1' reaches scrcpy intact.
  • Every phone at once. scrcpy keeps running while its window is open, so the loop starts each phone's scrcpy in the background: with & in bash and with Start-Process in PowerShell. It skips unauthorized and offline phones, titles each window with the phone's serial number and puts the serial into recording file names.
  • Checks before it writes. It refuses combinations scrcpy 4.1 refuses, such as AOA over Wi-Fi or a recording file it cannot guess the format of, and greys out options that another choice makes pointless.
  • Nothing leaves the page. The builder runs in your browser; it sends and stores nothing.

Need adb itself? The ADB command builder writes adb commands for one phone or every phone, and free tools to control several phones compares scrcpy with the other free options.

Questions

Is the scrcpy command builder free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limits. It is a page on this site that writes commands; you run them yourself in your terminal with scrcpy, from its official GitHub page or your system's package manager.

Which version of scrcpy does it follow?

scrcpy 4.1, and only the options its own documentation describes. Newer versions may add options, and older ones may lack some; scrcpy --help lists the options your copy has.

Does it send my settings or file names anywhere?

No. The builder runs in your browser, sends nothing and stores nothing, so the serial numbers, addresses and file names you type stay on your computer.

How does it open every connected phone?

It writes a loop over the phones that adb devices lists as ready and starts one scrcpy for each with -s and its serial number, in the background, so all the windows open at once. Each window is titled with its phone's serial number.

Why does scrcpy ask me to choose a device?

With more than one phone connected, scrcpy needs to know which to show. Give its serial number with -s, or use --select-usb or --select-tcpip when exactly one phone is on USB or on Wi-Fi, or --tcpip with the phone's address.

How do I make scrcpy lighter with several phones?

Keep each stream small. A lower --max-size, such as 800 or 1024, a lower --video-bit-rate, such as 2M, a --max-fps of 30 and --no-audio all reduce the work for the phone and your computer.
