A scrcpy GUI for many Android phones

In short: scrcpy is the best free tool for mirroring and controlling one Android phone, but it opens one window per phone. BenchFleet is built on scrcpy's open-source server and puts every connected phone on one screen, with one-click control, phone health and, on paid plans, automation across many phones. It is free for 3 phones.

scrcpy is the best free way to mirror and control one Android phone from a computer. With ten phones, or a hundred, you need more than ten windows. BenchFleet is built on scrcpy's open-source server and puts every phone on one screen, with one-click control and the tools to look after a fleet.

Free for up to 3 phones, with no account. Pro adds workflows, schedules and AI for up to 25 phones from £12 a month + VAT.

What scrcpy does well

  • Free and open source, from Genymobile, for Windows, macOS and Linux.
  • Mirrors and controls a phone over USB or Wi-Fi, quickly, with no root and no app on the phone.
  • Forwards sound on Android 11 and newer, records the screen, and has many options on the command line.

If one phone at your desk is all you need, scrcpy, or one of the free GUIs people have built for it, is the right tool. How to control an Android phone from a PC compares it with the other ways.

Where one window per phone stops working

  • One scrcpy per phone: each phone needs its own process and window, chosen by its serial number.
  • No overview: nothing shows at a glance which phone is offline, hot or low on battery.
  • Nothing shared: nothing records who did what, and nothing repeats a task across the phones.

What BenchFleet adds

  • Every phone on one screen: live tiles with each phone's screen, name, connection and mode. The phones in view stream live and the rest refresh as pictures, so hundreds of phones stay fast.
  • One click to take control: your mouse, keyboard and clipboard on the phone, with its files, apps, logcat and a terminal on the same page.
  • Health and order: battery, temperature, storage and the app in front on every tile, with groups, pins, saved views and a wallboard.
  • A record: every action in an audit log, and approvals for sensitive steps.
  • Automation on Pro: group actions, broadcast, workflows, schedules and AI with your own model.

The same connection, no root

BenchFleet connects to phones the way scrcpy does, through Android's debugging connection: by USB, by Wireless debugging on Android 11 and newer, or by address. Watching and controlling need nothing else; for automation, BenchFleet adds a small helper that reads the screen's interface. Its open-source parts, scrcpy among them, are on the open-source licences page. Working with adb yourself? The ADB guide covers the commands scrcpy and BenchFleet rely on, and the ADB command builder writes them for you.

Questions

What is scrcpy?

scrcpy is a free, open-source tool from Genymobile that shows an Android phone's screen on a Windows, macOS or Linux computer and lets you control it with your mouse and keyboard, over USB or Wi-Fi, without root.

Is BenchFleet a front end for scrcpy?

Not exactly. BenchFleet streams phone screens with scrcpy's open-source server and can open any phone in a separate lightweight window, but it is a complete app of its own, with a live fleet view, control, files, apps and logs, and on paid plans workflows, schedules and AI.

Can scrcpy show several phones at once?

Yes, by running one scrcpy for each phone, each choosing its phone by serial number. You get one window per phone, which works for two or three phones and gets hard to manage beyond that.

Is BenchFleet free like scrcpy?

BenchFleet is free for 3 phones at a time, with no account. Pro and Team add more phones, workflows, schedules and AI. scrcpy itself stays free and open source.

Does BenchFleet need anything on the phone?

No root. Like scrcpy, it uses Android's debugging connection, which you turn on in Developer options. For automation it adds a small helper that reads the screen's interface.

Is there anything better than scrcpy?

For mirroring and controlling one phone, scrcpy is hard to beat, as it is free, fast and open source. For many phones at once, a tool made for fleets, such as BenchFleet, adds one screen for every phone, health and automation; for helping someone over the internet, a remote-support app fits better.

Is scrcpy safe to use?

scrcpy is open source, published by Genymobile on GitHub, and needs no app on the phone. Like any tool that uses USB debugging it can fully control the phone, so download it from its official GitHub page or your system's package manager.
