BenchFleet and mobile-mcp: which Android MCP server for your agent?
In short: mobile-mcp is a free, open-source MCP server that lets an AI agent drive iOS and Android simulators, emulators and real devices. BenchFleet is a desktop app whose built-in MCP server gives Claude Code, Codex and other clients the Android phones you choose, with scope limits, approvals, no shell access and a hash-chained audit log.
Checked on 20 October 2026. We make BenchFleet. mobile-mcp's facts come from its GitHub README. Both let Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients use an Android phone. They differ in what comes with the server: mobile-mcp is the server, BenchFleet is the server plus the app that runs the phones.
Free for up to 3 phones, with no account. Pro adds workflows, schedules and AI for up to 25 phones from £12 a month + VAT.

Where mobile-mcp fits
- iOS, including simulators.
- A free server in a minute for one development phone or an emulator.
- Reading and changing the server's code.
Where BenchFleet is the recommended choice
- Several phones, or phones with real accounts. Scope keeps the agent on the phones you named, at the access level you set.
- Steps that need a person. Saved passwords, payments, account security and wide changes wait for an approval, and CAPTCHAs and sign-in checks are handed to a person.
- A record of what happened. Every call is logged and the log is tamper-evident.
- People and agents on the same phones. Testers take control; agents wait.
- No telemetry by default.

Can I use both?
Yes. Add both to your client with different names and tell the agent which to use: mobile-mcp for quick experiments on an emulator, BenchFleet for the phones on the shelf. The Android MCP server page shows what BenchFleet's server offers an agent.
Questions
Is BenchFleet an alternative to mobile-mcp?
For Android phones you own, yes. mobile-mcp is an MCP server you install with one npx line. BenchFleet is a desktop app with an MCP server, a live view of every phone, takeover and workflows, and it adds scope limits, approvals and an audit log for each client.
Can I use both?
Yes. They are separate MCP servers, so add both to your client with different names and tell the agent which to use. Keep a free server for quick experiments on an emulator and BenchFleet for the phones on the shelf.
Does BenchFleet cost money?
The Free plan covers 3 phones with live view and control. MCP clients come with Pro, at £12 a month + VAT for up to 25 phones, and Team, at £20 per seat a month + VAT. AI usage is paid to your own model provider.
Can an agent run shell commands through BenchFleet?
No. BenchFleet never offers AI clients shell commands, file transfer, app installs, the clipboard or reboots. They read the screen, tap, type, open and stop apps, read logs and run the workflows you published.
Does BenchFleet send telemetry?
No. BenchFleet starts in Local mode, where nothing leaves your computer and your network, and it sends no telemetry or analytics.
